UAS up-to-date info

There are some very specific restrictions in there. I wonder why?

I wonder if it’s anything to do with the VR(T) pilot thing

Although limiting OCdt’s/APO’s to passenger AEF when they’re (assumingly) acting as the pilot on Glider

FOI?

It will be to do with the fact they although they may be pilots on a VGS they are not pilots on the AEF/Tutor unless they have gone solo on the Tutor as part of their UAS training however they will not be able to fly cadets on an AEF.

Why can’t they do the UAS syllabus though?

Maybe just while on duty as a SI?

I’m throwing darts into a tornado here

are we?

We say the words, but our Pay scale is OF-0-1 OF-0-2 rather than OR. And we’re addressed for the most part as Mr, Miss etc

I thought we were in that gap between enlisted and commisioned same as WOs

Thats just my guessing though

I didn’t know these pay scales existed!

The Navy do things differently, but in the Army and RAF officer cadets are initially enlisted until they commission (usually on graduation, but can vary with bursars, cadetships, etc.)

It’s more obvious in UASs, where off cdts wear enlisted aviator cap badges and No.1 uniforms: whereas APOs get the officer badge and uniform.

It’s actually just the same as Phase 1 enlisted pay but for some reason we’ve got to have our own designator, and I think after 1st year we go up to a phase two wage
