Also, to hop along - is there any indication this will actually be recorded, as can’t see anything on the mail itself? As to the sentiment of many others here, it does sadly clash with a parade night and I cannot guarantee myself or any other staff on Sqn will be able to sit in on the Town Hall.

It’s got a 'chute - it’s safe innit… Assessment done. 
Even the Typhoon fighter has a “help me” button if they get disorientated, so sort of the same thing. It’s called the Disorientation Recovery Facility, press it & the aircraft will right itself / fly straight and level.
Or whack one of these on the roof of every Squadron?

I appreciate that the STEM camp may have been run by actual Army but I’m sure it probably stings a little when the commandant is promoting drone racing can be done within Army Cadets and not by those who are meant to be at the forefront of flying!

I had to rely on my wing and squadron chats instead…

Managed to catch a bit of it. Then had to teach!
All heading in right direction. Sensible alignment with CAA requirements and what is practical at Squadron and Wing level. Blue to Gold.
Need to use RAFAC/ MOD kit (no private purchase).
SaaS package for managing flight logs looks good.
Synthetic is a big part of it, seems sensible. Didn’t catch which packages will be used.

As I understand it cadets won’t fly a drone in real life till Silver level.

Disagree: blue is the CAA flyer ID. No flying experience needed for that.
Appreciate it varies from unit to unit but to fly at or near our location you’d need GVC so synthetic has its place. We can’t just rock up to a field somewhere.

Cool, so blue is a virtual intro, I agree. Surely then, Bronze needs to be hands-on?
