I have seen the email, but it has not gone out to all units as yet. I assume an email will be issued by the same person who initiated the announcement of the ban in our regiion, not by the wing shooting officers.
Interestingly CCFs have this week (at least in 11X AOR) had an email instructing us NOT to use Locally Procured Weapons. Only exemptions are for air rifles, paintball and shotguns.
I wish someone would coordinate policy for the three services… Did the original ban state the scope i.e. ACO or ATC? After all, as Sp Comd are now the ‘lead service’ for CCF - all three flavours - I am starting to doubt the power of TG5 to regulate CCF(RAF) shooting.

I am aware of the ban, an All-Wing email was sent this morning.
We were told this morning, reading the email chain you need a 2* to authorise being outside the safe system of training. The ACF have authority but we don’t hence the stop.
Our OC Satt spammed the stop message across this region yesterday at lunchtime. I’ve not seen any substance or anything originating from HQAC yet.
well that was written in TG5s letter which implied “lifting the ban” but without saying it in as many words…I am sure I posted as such earlier in this thread…
