How do your parents react to yet another form to fill out / sign? I've had parents come in and ask why they've got another form when they filled one with exactly the same info a couple of weeks ago. All they see is the same form and like so many things like this when they are coming all the time you just sign without reading them and I doubt many parents read the forms anyway.
From what I recall from school trips was just a letter and tear off slip saying yes they can go and that the teachers could do what was ever reasonable if we weren't contactable, mostly in pre everyone has a mobile days. The only time we filled out anything more was for overseas trips. A semi active sqn could be expecting parents to sign maybe 20 forms a year if you include community events, parades and RBL/RAFA. So 20+ forms you go down the route of one for every different thing.
We had a data form from the schools every year to update and sign and schools just went with it as contact etc.
I don't think we do this for the ours or the cadets sake, but for someone sitting at a desk shuffling paper for a living.
Personally if cadets are going away overnight, then a form, but in every other instance no. They should have their 3822 on them.
