Allows me to get on and clean the kitchen or load the dishwasher, while the hoover sorts the lounge for me.

The good news is that they’re starting to climb stairs!

I need mine to climb onto the work top then load the dishwasher :joy:

I’ve now got it set to start at 10am every morning. So it’ll be all done and dry by the time I get home. But also not starting at 7am out of respect for my downstairs neighbours!

It’s also got a setting so it only charges during off-peak hours for electricity pricing, which is nice.

Perhaps I’m calling myself out as a nerd, but I absolutely love it and take all my lecture notes in it (my handwriting is appaling and I don’t trust them to be usefully legible after if handwritten!)

I find it a lot lot easier to do it in an IDE rather than a tool like Overleaf with snippets, VSCode for example lets you write a JSON file with custom snippets, so sse becomes \subsection{cursor here}, dm becomes a display maths environment with the cursor in the right place (and can be exited afterwards with the tab key), alpha automatically inserts the backslash before it etc etc.

Happy to share the snippet file if you’re doing mathsy/physicsy etc stuff in it, I find it makes it a lot quicker and less painful.

Went to Microsoft’s AI World Tour in London on Tuesday, sadly some of the best elements are on available on a business license rather than personal.

have spent the week playing with Mocha to create an app to help with some event admin.

That looks cool - to someone who was playing with UV resin stereo lithography 35 years ago. That is it thoroughly brought up to date!

Here’s a tech question.

For a variety of reasons, but primarily separating personal stuff from RAFAC bumph, I use Firefox for RAFAC purposes on my MacBook Air.

The browser is up to date.

Whenever I open a tab, it’s in light mode (preferred - that’s as per settings & any plug-in aspects).

From using my RAFAC 100 account, when I open up another mailbox (our sqn generic account), that tab always opens in dark mode - which I don’t want. I’ve Googled, checked all the Firefox settings, etc, can’t find a solution.

Any clues please!

To enable dark mode in Outlook on the web, click the Settings (gear icon) at the top right, go to General > Appearance, and select Dark under theme options. This changes the background to dark, reducing eye strain. You can also choose “Use system settings” to match your browser’s theme.

So it’ll be a mailbox setting I expect

I don’t use Firefox, but that sounds right. Site setting overriding the app / local settings.

It was, how simple! Thanks all.

Couldn’t for the life of me work out why my 100 account is light mode but the sqn one was different - I assumed that the settings would mirror across.

Here!

Yeh I’m on the edge of my seat hoping they’ll be at a solid price point that we could make a standardised go-to option.

I think they may be higher than people are expecting. Lots of people want comparable console prices, but that’s just not possible. Consoles are pretty much loss-leaders and they make money in the games.

But even if the unit is more expensive, it will be a cheaper life span. No having to buy £60 XBOX only games.

I think £7-800 was maybe possible until RAM outperformed a decade of the SNP500.

But then the next Xbox is reportedly planned to be towards $1k net. Unless anything changes drastically, PS6 will potentially be a couple hundred $ up from the 5.

…and while all this is going on, Apple have launched a $600 MacBook.
