That still isn’t a contract… A loose ‘around 12 hours a month’ is not even close to a contract as would be required to meet the volunteer worker definition.
If our volunteer agreement said you must do 12 hours a month then that would meet it. But it doesn’t, quite the opposite, as I quoted above.

Note my wording:
and your wording
we are on the same page. it is an expectation.
there is little penalty for not achieving it - certainly not instantly. it can take 3 months, 6 months or even longer for people in the CoC to care that there are those who are not meeting that expectation and then even longer still for them to take that “caring” and get in touch with the CFAV in question…
and that is for CFAVs who stop attending - there will be examples of CFAVs who commit regularly but only do so to the tune of 8-10 hours a month who never get questioned.
while i accept is on the website, and thus “public”, to find where this in within official documents it is buried in ACP20 rather than a personal document (eg contract). No one at any point when i was appointed into uniform made it clear there was a minimum commitment expectation (perhaps because as i was already exceeding it as a CI) and is almost an “unwritten rule” given lax attitude towards those who are borderline hitting that expectation.
