I resent the general principle that I have to wear two layers when all I want is one, with specific properties depending on the weather.

Correct. There is no in-between as our greens uniform is assumed only every to be worn outside. I hate wearing an outdoor jacket (smock) inside, and if I am a little chilly on a parade night in greens I now have to add two layers. Seems strange. Bring back the old commando woolly pully lol
