Apologies for the slight thread drift here, but does this whole situation beg the question as to whether provision of ATF courses should be reviewed?
Undoubtedly what ATF deliver is good, well structured delivered by experienced Staff.
But could it be considered combining the OIC and SSIC courses, yes there are presently differences, but at that stage fundamentally we are after all new uniform Staff to have a core set of skills, it can then be developed and enriched in whatever pathway after the course.
This would then still leave a Squadrons commanders course and leaves the oportunity to develop a further course for SNCOâs if needed. It could also then free up a few weeks in the ATF calendar for other courses to be delivered, or admin time etc.
