It pretty much went that he wants to do it but they dont have the resources to impliment whatever the outcome is. Which to be fair is a good point.
It is, but by the same notion, if you donāt know whatās wrong youāve got no hope of trying to fix it in the future.
Itās not, really. Itās a fob off. You canāt say that you canāt do something when you donāt know what that something is.
And when you consider the wider context of what they do do, all the blinkered tinkering that there has been. I donāt know when this was, but there certainly would have been complaints and proposals that could have driven at least the communication and release of future policy. Might even have avoided the latest farce around the release of the updated fieldcraft policy.
I donāt think people want much, but even if they couldnāt implement everything that came out of a review, at least there might be something.
If you donāt ask then youāll never know.
Didnt realise Cornwall was part of Scotlandā¦
While it is a fob off, this is more important than anything. Get this sorted and people will be more content generally. They wouldnāt know where to start and there isnāt a magic bullet to fix things.
For starters some areas of general disquiet :
Poor policy implementation
Poor communication in a day and age when it should be the easiest thing, but the easiest thing (electronic methods) requires greater intrusion into peopleās lives
IT systems
Poor treatment of CFAV
CFAV trying to balance all of the important things in their lives, to make time for Air Cadets
I would suggest that all of these and others and perms of any of these in any combination affect different people, differently at different times.
I would imagine there are things that affect HQAC clerical staff, like under manning and poor pay, to add into the mix.
There is folly thinking at somehow IMSā make life easier, ignoring the fact they still require people to put things on them and if in doing so make a mistake it can create mayhem. Add into this that we at sqn have an IMS and Wings etc have another one which donāt always tally.
To look at or make any meaningful changes to the problems requires time, money and overall a will to do it. Given those who would need to do it are all on 5 year contracts, like all MoD āprojectsā lack of continuity due to moving people around and new comers wanting to make a mark are contributory factors to lengthening end points. With the CAC due to go soon, God knows what the āpriorityā of the new CAC will be, as all old things will be side lined as a new one needs to make a name for themselves, to line up a gong. Unless the AOC says this is what you have to get to grips with.
Iām sure there used to be a form circulating that was to be completed on leaving, then sent up to Region. Never saw it being used though; would have been interesting when the CFC came in to see reasons for departure.
There is and it must be completed.
I filled mine openly and in detail and never heard anything backā¦
To be honest they donāt have the guts to do anything about the problems. Itās clear to see but it isnāt in HQACs interest to tackle them.
