Equivalencies are rarely precise. The Army also have full dress (for fusiliers it’s a scarlet jacket with a sealskin busby), but it’s true that our No. 1s resemble Army No. 2s more than their No. 1 dress (which was brought in as a standardised ceremonial uniform, whereas full dress varies greatly between regiments to the extend that not all even have it).

Something with a stand collar would certainly feel better for special occasions than the same shirt and tie you wear in the office.
