Yes that is what we have used (had Dawn’s signature on it). It was ignored/ not processed correctly by the schools / outside the school policy. Or we just get a flat refusal so the Cadet can’t go.
Parents (and students) seem pretty sensitive about these things and it’s not worth the hassle really.
We’ve had it refused on several occasions - we give it out to each cadet going as standard.
If the school isn’t an academy, see if your local authority has a “wellbeing in school” officer you could approach. They aren’t directly connected to the school so might be able to support you. You could also speak to the Education Welfare team directly and explain the problem and see if they can support you.
