That will be Wednesday then.

What was the story?

someone was giving away Pink flamingos in celebration of Pink Wednesday. Looks like that team bagged one each.

Odd pairing of wings seeing as ones EM and ones North

although my first time was us (from north region) and D&S (SWR)

Not necessarily odd, it’s probably through personal contacts of CFAV who know one another. My wing in the past has helped with transport out there for Durham and Northumberland plus shared support and accomodation with Middx at various times. All through personal CFAV contacts.

It is South and West Yorkshire Wing, hence the Yorkshire Flag. Their WRMO’s Squadron is in North Lincolnshire (But in SWYorks Wing), hence the Lincolnshire Flag. She just likes to confuse people, as a lot do not recognise the flag as the Lincolnshire one.

Not to forget that several Lincolnshire squadrons ended up being moved from Trent Wing to S&W Yorks Wing due to RFCA only a couple of years ago. There’s still quite a bit of shared resources.

Prior to 2020, Dorset & Wilts had frequently partnered up with Essex Wing!

I’m a filthy northerner so those county names mean nothing to me
