Very nerdy tangential comment… Strings in the Julia programming language are concatenated using *
, rather than +
like in most other languages, to highlight that strings aren’t actually commutative
(yes yes, for those of you who are mathematical pedants, *
is normally a commutative operation too, but matrix multiplication isn’t)
