It’s noticeable on social media how many regulars, reserves and CFAVs are now sporting beards. I think it’s a novelty thing currently because we can.

I’ve had a beard for circa 5 years; I’ve been in uniform for circa 6 months. I didn’t grow a beard because I could, rather not being able to keep my beard was one of the things holding me back from going back into uniform.
