To be honest, a risk assessment course should just be standard practice for initial training courses for staff, then used when they’re taught how to use our systems.

This was suggest back in 2007/8 for both new CIs & new Plt Off (basically a list of training modules that would standardise knowledge & experience so MOI, first aid, WHT)

it upset a few empires so it didn’t happen basically

This is a real shame because, generally, this is exactly what we need.

I’d liken it to a standardised Ph1, Ph2, Ph3 process where we understand exactly what everyone’s common youth leader SQEP is.

I didn’t really rate my UCC. I felt we could have really kicked the backside out of some serious and practical training. But I’m conscious I never did the CIC, but I don’t get the impression that would have plugged the gaps I’ve experienced.
