A previous post suggest that this is being looked at to some degree WRT fitting of harness cutters and in the grand scheme of things it’s probably not a high priority.

VGS operations are reliant upon aircrew getting their hands dirty and performing multiple duties on the airfield. This has a significant impact upon the life span of clothing. It will become unserviceable more frequently on average.
