Depends on the duty NCO. As a cadet Cpl I once refused to let the Regional Commandant through the gate because he had no ID and wasn’t on the list of pre-booked visitors. I made him phone the office and ask the OC to come and vouch for him. Best part was I knew exactly who he was as he had been the school RAF Career Adviser who put me in for OASC.
A lowly WWO wouldn’t stand a chance of getting in unannounced without giving us time to remove the tags.
(Knowing what he went on to do in his next post after RC(N) I have no regrets about making him stand in the rain)

Any good officer should. Opsec shouldn’t be triumphed by some bloke that’s bought an air officer’s peak off of eBay. Social engineering 101.
