Sliming world lasted 48hrs
That looks incredible! Those pickles too. Love a pickle!
I hope you didnāt take the gherkins out!
They came one the sideā¦the best part.
First time out at Red Dog Saloon. Would recommend
If people are interested in Keto or similar look up Eddie Abbew. He has a great Instagram and is very open about his view on food and what people should be eating.
Parkrun again today, first proper running since doing the Belfast Half Marathon 2 weeks ago, owing to illness.
Did better than I expected, 2 mins behind my recent finishing times. However, saw a maximum heart rate of 210 bpm when my theoretical maximum is 185. Iāll be keeping an eye on that.
Hard session in the gym yesterday as Iāve just returned for 2 weeks in the Far East where itās 1: too hot to do any form of exercise even in the hotel gym, and 2: Hotel gyms are normally only small with limited equipment and the treadmill was broken
So yesterday, I set about a treadmill run in the Station gym. In all honesty, I wasnāt in the right frame of mind for a run but I pushed on anyway and letās just say it was tough. Really tough. Saying that, I smashed my PB for 5k treadmill run with a 25:37 and then 2 hours of weights. I am however, paying the price for it this morning. Sore ham strings and glutes are making me walk like John Wayne but all will be well when I stretch them out.
Today is a 25 min HIIT session of cardio and total body.
Update lost 2.5lbs this week
Good news!
Iām restarting Keto today. Probably should have weighed myself first thing, but nevermind thereās always tomorrow for that.
Even though the initial fast drop is water, it still feels good!
40 days in and I am down 17lbs, fasting with Keto has been quite the revelation.
When I was doing it before, I used to love that I could do a 24 hour fast without even realising because you just donāt feel hunger.
Obviously being my first day again, Iām a few weeks away from being at that point, but Iām looking forward to getting there.
17lbs in 40 days is good going, water weight or not. Previously, it took me 2 months to drop 22lbs and youāre already well over that trajectory.
Trajectory is flattening out now, around 2 to 2.5lbs a week, but having found something that works for me certainly gives the impetus to keep at it.
Much lighter on my feet & looking forward to getting the nod to start running again.
I am a qualified running coach, so feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or would benefit from support once you do start running again. Iād be happy to help where I can.
Hi all, does anyone here use a Concept2 rower?
Iām really lucky to have been given one today by a retired Sqn Ldr who can no longer use it. Given how much they sell for, even second-hand, I definitely need to get him some good alcohol-free beer!
Either way, Iāve noticed Ethernet ports on the back of the display. Does anyone know if itās possible to connect the rowers to something similar to Zwift?
I did some training on Concept 2 when I used to work at a school.
Depending on the computer version they can be networked to compete against each other definitely, not sure if they have introduced online rowing though.
First thing is to establish what version of the computer it is then jump on to the concept forums. Great bits of kit, Iāve had a few others over the years but always wish Iād had a Concept 2.
Glad to hear theyāre so well thought of. The computer is a PM5 (it was added after the original one failed), so Iāll have a look and see what I can do with it. Any suggestions for forums?
Not sure on forums, I would probably start here:
Might also be worth downloading the ERGData App although if I remember rightly a lot of stuff like firmware updates are still via a USB cable from a laptop to the computer.
The Keto flu has hit. Urgh.
So Iām now a week into keto and have dropped just over 4% of my starting bodyweight!
Much more to go yet, but happy to see the numbers heading in the right direction.
I might have to give this a go
