From my experience of committees the one person you do not want to mess with in any organisation be it rotary, golf club or RAOB is the Honorary Secretary.
They know the rules, they know where the bodies are buried, tell the chair & treasurer what they can do, controls the minutes & basically runs things.
The chair is there to deliver the agenda as written, the treasurer only gets to decide how much can be spent but it’s the secretary who gets to decide what can be done
Similarly in a school, watch out for the head’s secretary. They know where the bodies are buried. They see every pupil and staff member who is carpeted…
