Some advice if possible?
We have a female cadet that needs a size 10 parade shoe.
I have been reliably informed both by our stores and by our local surplus shop that 9 1/2 is the very largest "genuine" shoe available.
I have found suppliers of new cadet shoes, but in my experience the quality of the shoe is very poor, and they are almost impossible to get them to polish up properly - the material just doesn't seem right.
Now i know in this situation we might not be able to be fussy, and on our Sqn we can be understanding if the parade shoe isn't quite right, but i dont want her to have to go through her cadet life having make excuses to every other SNCO , cadet or adult, for her poorly polished shoes.
Suggestions so far have included - get permission for her to wear male cadet shoes - again this might end up with her having to explain to all and sundry why she has them, and also , apparently , male Sea Cadet shoes are very similar to female Air Cadet shoes, in as much as they dont have the "bar" across the front.
All ideas welcomed
Thank you in advance
