Folks thanks for all the comments. The reason why I was looking them is within our Sqn like many we issue most of the uniform when it’s due but hold onto the beret untill parts of training completed when they have a parade and beret issued bit like a passing out parade. Now we have cadets attend Sqn weekends in WHQ to help them get the feel of being in and on a mil base my though was to use a yellow tab as a way of marking them as a new cadet or a recurit almost like s tab behind badge in RAF Halton
