CIs: the title/rank/appointment debate

It’s taken me 45 minutes to read all six of these pages!!
I have nothing to say that will impact greatly on this debate.
I will however say one thing.
Cygnus Maximus - Totally 100% agreed.

As a former military instructor, I worked very closely with SIO’s who were more than happy to be referred to as Mr or Sir despite them having PhD, Masters; etc coming out the ying-yang and these guys were from Sandhurst, Cranwell and BRNC. Let’s be honest guys, if these lot are OK about it, surely a CI in the ATC can be happy with it??

Who does that?

In most areas they just right Mr/Mrs/Ms [surname][/quote]

I’ve always seen it written as CI Insert Surname

If it was Mr/Mrs I’d assume they were not a member of the ATC.
