Russia gives Poland a slap. We’re at war.
We already are in all but name.
OK, we’re in a balls out, no holds barred war with direct action and casualties.
Interestingly the Americans are saying that they had no prior knowledge of this.
It also seems to be Poland offering to help, but only via the US so that they can’t have been seen to initiate anything with Russia off of their own back.
I assume all NATO Markings inc. Polish identification would have to removed prior to the Ukrainian’s being able to use them?

I’m pretty sure you are right, colonel general is the major general equivalent in their ORBAT
Possible, although the rank of major-general is listed in the “Supreme & General Officer” category; not sure of the direct equivalency.
This particular one was listed as the “Commander of the 29th Army of the Eastern Military District” - although that was corrected somewhere else on social media to amend the Eastern Military District area to “29th Combined Arms Army.” He was appointed Dec 2021, short career move…
