When I go into Squadron HQ- seeing those youngsters who have taken the time and effort to attend a parade night in the rain.
An engaging environment and a place where cadets and staff feel safe, valued and are offered a myriad of oppurtunities to enable them to achieve their potential.
A lot of what we do costs little in real terms, however relates into a priceless asset in being able to develop and send well rounded adults into a changing society.
Standing at the door at the end of parade- waving off my cadets and hearing them say 'Thank you' and 'See you next week Sir'
Coming home with a happy heart and a feeling of pride.
That's why I do what I do- just an unpaid CI some may say. You cannot buy happiness, it comes from being positive and enjoying what you do.
Change is a constant- go with it, resistance to change will only become a negative that is projected to others.
