The current NOTAMs for Woodvale are as follows
Q) EGTT/QMRLC/IV/NBO /A /000/999/5335N00303W
B) 17/03/06 15:44 C) 17/04/06 09:00
E) RWY 21/03 CLOSED DUE TO SFC DAMAGE
Q) EGTT/QMXLC/IV/M /A /000/999/5335N00303W
B) 17/03/06 14:31 C) 17/06/06 14:30
E) SOUTHERN TWY CLOSED BTN RWY 34 THR AND RWY 03 THR
Is it the case therefore that the UASs are flying off 26/08 only (I believe 34/16 is disused now?) ? - If so then given the NOTAM only details damage to 21/03 it's difficult to understand what risk is being mitigated against.
There's obviously a desire amongst squadrons to get cadets airborne, but this issue is compounding other factors such as smaller cadets being unable to wear the lifejackets and Woodvale being closed for flying on Saturdays, essentially reducing the flying slots available by 50%.
A frustrating situation which can hopefully be overcome soon - I'm grateful for everyone's updates.
